GED CNA Full Job Description What We Offer:
Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Assisted Living units only:
Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse Shift /
Schedule:
Three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
High school diploma, required. Completion of NAI program, required.
Experience:
One year of relevant experience, preferred. One year required, Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living
Licensure/Certification:
Completion of NAI program, Required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, Required. Medication Safety - AME, Required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, Required.
Additional skills preferred:
Basic computer skills for documentation.
What You'll Do:
Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living. Assist with patient transfers, positioning, ambulation, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output, and specimen collection. Observe patient conditions and promptly report changes, abnormal findings, or concerns to the nursing team. Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, patient transport, and basic clinical procedures within scope of practice. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment while following infection prevention and safety standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide a positive, patient-centered experience.
