Pay Scale:
$15.60 - $21.88 We are currently seeking an Activities Assistant/CNA working 10am to 6pm to join our team and assist in planning and organizing engaging activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults and a creative mindset to develop stimulating activities that promote social interaction and enhance overall well-being. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to implement a variety of programs and events that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating a wide range of activities and events for residents, both on-site and off-site. Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop monthly activity calendars that reflect the needs, preferences, and abilities of our residents. Lead and facilitate group activities, such as games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, music sessions, and outings. Provide individualized support and assistance to residents who require additional help or accommodation during activities
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Nursing Assistant - active license is required. Previous experience with resident activities, preferably in a healthcare setting. Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred and previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
