Rudd Medical Services, the medical team for the Rutherford County Correctional Facility, is searching for a tech to assist in the preparation and dispensing of over the counter and prescription medication in a correctional setting. This is a full-time position, 3 twelve hour shifts per week, with a comprehensive benefit package including, health benefits, HRA, 401k match, life insurance, holiday pay, paid time off, scrub allowance, etc Responsibilities Identifying inmates which are identifies as having clinic appointments, pull medical records, gather necessary forms and supplies. Take and record vital signs, weight etc. Process prescriptions and ensure all information is complete and accurate Report/record changes in the inmate's mental status, physical status, or appearance Accurately prepare and administer inmate medication under the supervision of the RN/LPN Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned Comply with all security measures and quality standards Skills Dependable Excellent communication skills (positions requires clear communication with inmates, officers and medical department staff) Outstanding organizational skills Reliable with a keen eye for detail
