Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Student in our comprehensive classroom-clinical based training program. This paid opportunity is designed for aspiring healthcare workers who actively want to enroll in a certified nursing assistant (CNA) course and eager to gain hands-on clinical experience. In this role, you will develop essential patient care skills, learn medical procedures, and understand the fundamentals of healthcare delivery in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This position offers a unique chance to build your professional foundation while contributing to patient well-being and safety. Upon completion of the class-clinical portion, and passing of the CNA exam, we will transition you into a full time CNA role at our facility. Shifts and schedules will be discussed during the interview process and again prior to completion of the course. Responsibilities Must complete 100 hours of course work and on-site clinical training. Then enroll in a CNA test and pass to obtain certification. Classes will be offered Monday-Friday. Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort. Support patient care activities such as taking vital signs, monitoring health status, and recording medical information accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide compassionate care and ensure understanding of treatment plans. Prepare and operate medical equipment necessary for patient assessments and treatments. Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures while respecting patient confidentiality at all times. Support clinical staff with routine tasks such as specimen collection, documentation of medical procedures, and assisting with patient transfers using approved methods. Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and basic patient care procedures. Ability to perform manual handling safely and effectively while maintaining patient dignity. Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards. Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams. Prior experience or exposure in the medical field is a plus but not required. Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
