For the last decade, we have been Decatur's premiere location for short-term rehabilitation, post-hospital recovery, and long-term care. We are seeking a motivated Transportation Driver with excellent communication and customer service skills. As the driver, you will need to hold a valid Texas driver's license, have a clean driving record, enjoy working with people and have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent Prefer that you are a Certified Nursing Assistant in Texas Must be at least 21 years of age with an acceptable driving record Possess a current, valid driver's license in Texas Must have no Type A violations, such as driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, hit and run and reckless driving Good interpersonal skills in working with all kinds of people on a daily basis Under direction from the Director of Nursing and the Administrator, the Transportation Driver performs the following responsibilities : Sets physician appointments for patients and communicates the transportation schedule to appropriate parties in an organized fashion Coordinates with the nursing team to ensure residents are presentable and ready prior to all appointments Drives to/from the appropriate locations to meet resident and facility demands, including occasional trips to the DFW and surrounding areas Appropriately communicates information concerning a resident's condition, including delivering patient records to appropriate parties Demonstrates positivity and friendliness to all, always Maintains proper certification / training to perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and be able to perform CPR when and if needed Maintains an attitude of safety, alertness and customer service at all times Understands or is capable of being trained in the operation of a van or bus wheelchair lift and show competency Performs a "Daily Vehicle Safety Inspection Log" to verify the safety status of the vehicle Reports any inadequate system that may need attention or any item that requires repair through a reputable vehicle service repair company to the Administrator and Maintenance Director Ensures the vehicle(s) are fueled, maintained, cleaned, organized and remain in proper working order Demonstrates comfortability using basic technology, computers, smart phones, apps, etc. Takes call for occasional transportation needs after routine hours, including weekends or holidays Must be willing to be a team player, including accepting other assignments from the DON or Administrator, as required "Work today, get paid today!
