CNA -Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, hospitals, and memory care units. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns. Document patient information accurately in medical records as required. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to dementia care, behavioral health, and acute care. Experience Previous experience in assisted living or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial. Experience working in memory care or behavioral health settings is a plus. Familiarity with hospital environments or operating rooms (OR) is advantageous for candidates seeking diverse opportunities within the healthcare field.
