Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks such as catheter care, wound care, or medication administration under supervision Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards during all interactions and documentation processes Use safe manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to transfer patients securely and prevent injury to both patients and staff Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff using clear medical documentation Engage in infection control practices including aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in compliance with hospital protocols Qualifications Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of employment Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care such as Alzheimer's or dementia care is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of vital signs measurement, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology necessary for effective patient care Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques when repositioning or transferring patients Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare environments Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice or home care settings is advantageous Join us in delivering compassionate, expert care that enhances quality of life for every individual we serve.
