Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working overnight shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with rotating weekends. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, maintaining accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as critical care, geriatrics, or post-acute recovery. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene practices during patient care activities. Assist with patient transfers using safe transfer methods and equipment while adhering to manual handling protocols. Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living communities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures including vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation and patient data management. Strong caregiving communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or ICU settings. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices and manual handling guidelines.
