Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems). Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic wound care. Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques, safe lifting practices like using Hoyer lifts, and adhering to infection control protocols including aseptic technique. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and provide emotional support. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical documentation. Assist with patient transfers using appropriate methods and equipment; support emergency response efforts in trauma or urgent care scenarios. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities preferred; familiarity with dementia care and memory support is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy relevant to patient care. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly desirable. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) like Epic or Cerner; ability to adapt to new EMR systems quickly. Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving approach; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; adherence to safe lifting practices is essential. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or hospice care are advantageous.
