Job Description
Nursery Attendant New Life Christian Reformed Church Position Summary New Life Christian Reformed Church is seeking a caring and dependable Nursery Attendant to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children from infancy to age 4 during Sunday morning services. The Nursery Attendant will care for children, interact warmly with parents/guardians, and maintain a clean and welcoming nursery space. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for infants and young children (infant-age 4) including feeding, diaper changing, rocking, and playtime.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and general welfare of all children in the nursery.
- Partner with church volunteers to supervise children and create a positive, nurturing atmosphere.
- Interact warmly and professionally with parents and guardians during drop-off and pick-up.
- Maintain cleanliness in the nursery.
- Adhere to church policies regarding child safety and wellbeing.
- Report directly to the Children's Ministry Coordinator. Qualifications
- Prior childcare experience preferred (paid or volunteer).
- Warm, friendly, and reliable personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to care for multiple young children at once in a calm, safe, and engaging manner.
- Commitment to punctuality and consistency on Sunday mornings.
- Must pass a background check and provide at least two references. Work Hours, Compensation, and Benefits
