The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Provide catheter care and maintain proper hygiene practices. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Support patients in mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Administer basic first aid and assist with urgent care needs as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following aseptic techniques. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs. Assist in outpatient procedures as needed, including phlebotomy tasks when trained. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program is preferred. Previous experience in patient care or senior care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial. Ability to perform catheter care and understand aseptic techniques. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.
