Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices. Administer medications under supervision in accordance with medical orders and facility policies. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or memory impairments, including Alzheimer's and behavioral health needs. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized. Support patients in rehabilitation or post-acute care settings by facilitating mobility exercises and ensuring comfort. Document all patient interactions accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant or in similar caregiving roles across diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care settings. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Candidates with critical care experience—including ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), emergency medicine, or hospital medicine—are encouraged to apply. Additional desirable backgrounds include hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, medical-surgical units, infectious disease care, and post-acute or outpatient care environments.
