Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a 7AM-7PM Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various settings. This full-time role offers an energetic environment focused on providing exceptional patient support, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, personalized care that enhances patient comfort and recovery. Your proactive approach and enthusiasm will help foster a positive atmosphere for both patients and staff alike. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting all findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support patient transfer methods using safe lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to prevent injury. Administer medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques to ensure safety and comfort. Assist with medical procedures like catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic wound care following aseptic techniques. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address patient needs promptly. Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living communities. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) procedures such as CPR. Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner is highly desirable. Familiarity with specialized care areas including geriatrics, behavioral health, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care environments. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; experience with manual handling equipment preferred. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients; knowledge of physiology and anatomy is advantageous. Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service delivery in fast-paced settings such as hospital medicine or urgent care.
