Duties and Responsibilities You may improve the life of an in-home care client by: Providing conversation and companionship Performing light housekeeping Assisting with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and toileting Providing medication reminders Helping with nighttime routines Assisting with ambulation Some clients may need more specialized assistance with Hoyer lifts, transfers, or memory care and dementia care plans.
