Job Description

Overview We are a busy, state-of-the-art outpatient Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing surgical team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced OR nurse who is passionate about patient care and interested in expanding their clinical skills. In addition to providing exceptional perioperative nursing care, the selected candidate will receive hands-on cross-training as a Surgical Assistant , working directly alongside our surgeons during facial cosmetic and oral surgery procedures. We are looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to clinical excellence. Duties & Responsibilities:
Perioperative Patient Care Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative nursing care. Perform pre-operative assessments and review medical history, laboratory results, medications, EKGs, and medical clearances. Educate patients regarding their surgical procedure, anesthesia, recovery, and post-operative care. Monitor patients during surgery and throughout the recovery process. Conduct post-operative follow-up visits, including dressing changes, drain management, suture removal, patient education, and physician updates. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record. Operating Room Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards. Assist with operating room setup, turnover, and daily workflow. Monitor OR and recovery room equipment to ensure proper function. Maintain inventory of medications, medical supplies, and surgical instruments. Monitor crash cart supplies and medication expiration dates. Assist in maintaining OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and other regulatory compliance standards. Surgical Assistant Cross-Training The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training to expand their role within the operating room by: Assisting surgeons during facial cosmetic and oral surgery procedures. Preparing surgical trays, instruments, and treatment rooms. Assisting with patient positioning and sterile draping. Anticipating surgeon needs during procedures while maintaining an organized sterile field. Supporting efficient patient flow and daily surgical operations. You'll work closely with experienced surgeons in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery while developing additional skills through structured Surgical Assistant training. Pay:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
