We are seeking a Charge Nurse for our Crisis Bridges Crisis Stabilization Unit Responsibilities & Duties for Charge Nurse (Team Lead) The Charge Nurse is responsible for providing clinical leadership during assigned shifts, coordinating nursing services, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. This position works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote positive patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Skills for (Charge Nurse (Team Lead)): Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, emergency services, or crisis intervention preferred. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Implement and maintain Individual Service Plans for consumers. Conduct ongoing physical and mental health assessments. Maintain accurate consumer records and monitor safety. Supervise and oversee individual medical treatment programs. Administer and deliver prescribed medications as needed. Educate consumers on medication compliance and potential side effects. Assess vital signs, height, weight, and monitor medication compliance. Complete prior authorizations and assist with psychiatric medication needs. Ensure compliance with agency policies and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications and Skills for Full-Time Charge Nurse (Team Lead): Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse Program. Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia or from a Nurse Licensure Compact State. Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a mental health program and/or residential setting. Minimum of 1 year of RN experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Experience with electronic medical records and basic knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulations.
