Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and transfer methods Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature while maintaining accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, behavioral health challenges, or developmental disabilities Administer medications following prescribed protocols under supervision and ensure proper medication documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain a safe environment by practicing aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and phlebotomy, adhering to infection control standards Assist with patient transfers using safe lifting practices and proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams across various units such as ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hospice care to ensure comprehensive patient support Experience Previous experience working in medical-surgical units or hospital medicine settings is highly valued Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner/eClinicalWorks) for accurate medical documentation and patient data management Experience providing senior care or working within long-term care facilities including nursing homes or assisted living communities Knowledge of critical care environments such as Level I/II trauma centers or ICU settings enhances your ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations Familiarity with specialized areas such as pediatric (PICU), post-acute care, behavioral health, or home & community care is advantageous Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and safe lifting practices are required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or DME are a plus Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols ensures high-quality patient service Join us in delivering exceptional caregiving that transforms lives!
