At Edmonds Post Acute, our Shower Aide CNAs give residents one of the most personal parts of their day — help with bathing and hygiene — with patience, care, and respect. If you're a licensed CNA who takes pride in doing the small things that make a big difference, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Assist residents with bathing, showering, and personal hygiene routines, ensuring safety and comfort throughout Support safe transfers using Hoyer lifts, transfer belts, and other mobility aids Monitor and record vital signs, skin condition, and overall wellbeing during care Follow infection control protocols to keep care areas clean and safe Document care accurately in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar), maintaining HIPAA compliance Communicate promptly with nursing staff about any changes in a resident's condition or behavior Offer emotional support and companionship during care, keeping dignity and respect front and center Why Work Here A focused, meaningful role — you're not spread thin across a dozen tasks, you're excellent at this one Supportive team that values your caregiving expertise Opportunities to grow your skills in dementia/memory care and specialized techniques A workplace where residents' comfort and dignity genuinely come first Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) What You'll Need Active CNA license valid in Washington State (required) Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred Comfort with medical documentation and terminology Familiarity with EHR systems like Epic or Cerner a plus Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care a plus Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills and a genuinely compassionate approach No prior shower/bathing-specialist experience required — if you're a caring, capable CNA, we'll help you grow into the role.
