Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide exceptional patient care in a home healthcare setting. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health status, and ensure their comfort and safety. Duties Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and other activities of daily living. Safely assist with walking, transfers, repositioning, mechanical lifts, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment. Assist with medications, nurse-delegated tasks, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and other authorized health-related duties. Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to residents' dietary restrictions, allergies, food textures, and individual preferences. No cooking. Provide compassionate dementia, mental health, and behavioral support using reassurance, redirection, and approved de-escalation techniques. Observe residents for changes in health, behavior, appetite, mobility, or skin condition and promptly report concerns or emergencies. Complete accurate shift notes, medication records, care documentation, intake records, and incident reports. Provide companionship and encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities, social interaction, and appropriate exercise. Maintain a clean and safe home by performing laundry, housekeeping, sanitation, kitchen cleanup, and supply-restocking duties. Protect residents' dignity, privacy, rights, and confidentiality while following care plans, safety procedures, company policies, and Washington State adult family home requirements. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) required; active state license preferred Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments highly desirable Demonstrated experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia Knowledge of medical terminology, patient transfer techniques, CPR/First Aid/Basic Life Support (BLS), and hospice care practices Ability to lift objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer methods or Hoyer lift use Strong interpersonal skills; compassionate caregiver committed to maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Experience working with geriatric populations or in long-term care settings is preferred Join a team where compassion, positive energy, and great care come together!
