Position Summary We are looking to hire an experienced, dependable CNA on an urgent basis. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, excellent judgment, a compassionate bedside manner, and the ability to work independently to support our clients' daily needs in their homes. In this vital role, you will provide personalized patient care, assist with daily activities, and support individuals across various care settings. Your energy and empathy will help create a warm, safe environment for those in need of support, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities or memory care needs. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your skills while delivering exceptional care to our community. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility transfers using patient transfer methods or equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Provide safe mobility assistance, transfers, and light exercise support. Monitor and document overall well-being, and any changes in client health. Assist with medication reminders and maintaining a clean, safe living environment. Perform basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and catheter care under supervision or as trained. Support patients during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions. Provide engaging companionship and meaningful social interaction. Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, engaging them in appropriate activities to promote mental stimulation and comfort. Follow home healthcare regulations and safety protocols during patient transfers, heavy lifting, or end-of-life care situations, including first aid and basic life support (CPR). Maintain cleanliness by assisting with laundry, cleaning patient areas, and ensuring a safe environment conducive to healing and comfort. Communicate effectively with clients and their families about care plans, progress notes, and any concerns that arise during shifts. What We Are Looking For (Requirements) Active CNA Certification in the state of Wyoming (or valid compact equivalent). Previous professional caregiving experience preferred. Current CPR/First Aid certification. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance. Exceptional communication skills, absolute reliability, and a genuinely caring heart. Experience Prior experience working with geriatric patients in settings such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized memory care or hospice support. Previous home health care assistance or live-in employment experience is a plus. Ability to perform patient transfers safely using methods like Hoyer lifts or other transfer techniques while adhering to safety standards.
