SHINE Recovery Programs Location:

SHINE House - Lake County, Indiana Position Summary The SHINE House Manager is responsible for the daily operation, safety, and supervision of SHINE House, a recovery residence for women and their children. This live-in position provides leadership, structure, accountability, and compassionate support while ensuring residents maintain a safe, recovery-focused environment. The House Manager serves as a positive role model by fostering a culture of dignity, respect, responsibility, and hope while working closely with peer recovery coaches, case managers, treatment providers, and community partners. House Operations Live on-site and oversee daily operations. Maintain a safe, clean, organized home. Conduct safety inspections. Coordinate maintenance and supplies. Ensure compliance with policies and standards. Resident Supervision Orient new residents. Monitor compliance. Address conflicts using trauma-informed practices. Enforce curfews and passes. Document violations. Recovery Support Encourage participation in recovery programming. Coordinate with peer recovery coaches. Support individualized recovery goals. Children & Family Support Maintain a safe environment for children. Support healthy parenting and routines. Coordinate school and appointment transportation when needed. Medication & Safety Secure medication storage. Conduct random room checks, drug screens, and breathalyzers. Respond to emergencies and follow reporting requirements. Documentation Maintain daily logs, incident reports, attendance, inspections, maintenance records, and visitor logs. Meal & Household Coordination Coordinate meals, teach household skills, and oversee cleaning schedules. Transportation Coordination Coordinate transportation for treatment, employment, medical appointments, and SHINE programming. Administrative Duties Attend meetings, assist with admissions/discharges, maintain confidentiality, and support certification and audits. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred). Two years of relevant experience. Valid driver's license. Pass background check. CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain. Preferred Qualifications Certified Peer Recovery Coach preferred. Trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, recovery housing experience. Knowledge & Skills Leadership, communication, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, organization, documentation, computer proficiency. Physical Requirements Lift up to 30 lbs., climb stairs, respond to emergencies. Work Schedule Live-in position with five scheduled workdays, evening/weekend availability, on-call responsibilities, and coordinated time off. Pay:
