Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assisted Living Enrichment and Events Director to lead engaging activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This vital role involves designing, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors, including those with memory care requirements. The ideal candidate will foster a vibrant community atmosphere, build meaningful resident rapport, and collaborate closely with staff to promote well-being, independence, and joy among residents. Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative activity programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being for residents of all care levels. Coordinate and oversee resident events, outings, celebrations, and recreational therapy sessions to ensure engaging and inclusive experiences. Build strong relationships with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs to personalize activities effectively. Collaborate with caregiving staff, nursing teams, and family members to integrate therapeutic activities into daily care plans. Manage scheduling for activities and events, ensuring smooth execution while maintaining compliance with safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and progress to inform ongoing program development. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for planning documentation, resident communication logs, and reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or senior care environments. Demonstrated background in assisted living or nursing home settings with familiarity in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support programs, or geriatric populations. Strong knowledge of recreational therapy techniques and long-term care best practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a senior living context. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster resident rapport and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience managing programs related to aging issues counseling, social work, or community engagement is highly desirable.
