SUMMARY The Resident Care Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the Assisted Living and Memory Care building within the senior living community. This leadership role works in collaboration with the Assisted Living Administrator to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Director provides guidance to nursing and caregiving staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and promotes a culture of safety, dignity, and resident satisfaction.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead and manage the Assisted Living and Memory Care nursing staff (Clinical Nursing Supervisor, SICs, Medication Techs, and C.N.As). Develop, coordinate, and schedule resident care plans in accordance with North Carolina Adult Care Home regulations, ensuring completion within required timeframes, ongoing review with any significant change, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to reflect current resident needs and service levels. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including documentation, assessments, and reporting. Assist with long term care insurance submissions as required from a clinical perspective. Monitor resident health status and coordinate appropriate interventions. Oversee medication management and clinical procedures. Recruit, train, and evaluate clinical staff. Collaborate with scheduler to ensure staffing needs meet regulatory requirements. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory audits. Serve as a liaison for residents and families regarding health concerns and care coordination. Support infection control, emergency preparedness, and safety protocols. Active RN license required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, clinical standards and resident-centered care. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
