Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Wellness Director to lead and coordinate the health and wellness programs within assisted living and memory care communities. This vital role involves overseeing resident care, managing clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a vibrant, supportive environment for seniors with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will bring energetic leadership, extensive experience in senior care, and a passion for enhancing quality of life through innovative wellness initiatives. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Lead and supervise clinical staff such as care coordinator, medication techs and caregivers s to ensure high standards of patient care and adherence to healthcare regulations. Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication management in compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate therapy, hospice, diagnostic evaluations, medication administration, and other items as needed. Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems . Manage resident care plans. Promote a positive environment by fostering team management strategies that support staff development, effective communication, and resident satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living and memory care settings. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience managing multidisciplinary teams within healthcare environments. Extensive knowledge of senior care practices including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support programs. Experience working with EMR systems like Point Click Care; strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to manage care facility teams effectively while ensuring policy compliance.
