Viva Senior Living is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Registered Nurse to act as the Resident Care Director and lead the care team at our 56-bed memory care community in Liverpool, New York . This is an exciting opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about caring for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia . As the Resident Care Director, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing resident care, supporting and developing team members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating an environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, compassion, and individualized care. What You'll Do As our Resident Care Director, you will: Lead and support the community's resident care team, promoting a positive, collaborative, and compassionate work environment. Oversee the delivery of exceptional, person-centered care for residents living with dementia. Ensure residents receive care that supports their individual needs, preferences, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Oversee resident assessments, service plans, medication management, infection control, and other clinical care processes. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Monitor changes in residents' physical and emotional well-being and communicate appropriately with families, physicians, the Executive Director, and other members of the care team. Serve as a clinical resource and care manager for residents and their families. Interview, hire, train, evaluate, motivate, and mentor direct care team members. Conduct department orientations and ensure team members receive required training and competency evaluations. Develop and manage departmental schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels while working within established budgets. Manage the department budget and support operational and financial goals. Promote resident satisfaction and retention by building strong relationships with residents and their families. Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to support occupancy, referrals, and overall community success. Set clinical and operational goals, monitor outcomes, and lead the care team toward continuous improvement. Ensure all safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and life safety procedures are followed. Assist with resident care as needed, including clinical tasks within the scope of your license or certification. Protect the confidentiality of resident and employee information and maintain compliance with HIPAA and company privacy standards. Ensure concerns involving abuse, neglect, exploitation, mistreatment, safety issues, policy violations, or confidentiality breaches are immediately reported and addressed according to company policy and applicable regulations. Participate in emergency drills and fulfill leadership responsibilities during emergencies, including assisting with resident evacuation when necessary. Be available for emergency call-back situations, including severe weather, evacuations, or temporary staffing shortages. Qualifications include:

Current and valid RN license , in good standing and in accordance with applicable New York State requirements. Graduation from an approved nursing program, as applicable to licensure. At least one year of full-time, or equivalent, clinical experience . Previous leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is strongly preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Strong knowledge of resident care, medication management, assessments, infection control, and applicable healthcare regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
