Job Summary:
The Executive Director actively oversees all community operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality of care is always provided, maintaining the community's reputation, and promoting census.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, lead, and supervise a cohesive management team, including hiring, evaluation, training, scheduling, and support. Direct the overall operation of the community and maintain actively involved in all departments. Oversee developing, implementing, and evaluating community programs and activities. Participate in team member recruitment, orientation, and training, and ensure adequate staffing. Interpret monthly financial statements, engage directors in community budgeting, and ensure the community operates within budget. Review accident/incident reports and manage an accident prevention program. Maintain higher than standard operations, develop correction plans for any inspection deficiencies, and make written reports of actions taken in response to complaints. Lead appropriate emergency response. Represent the residence in the greater community and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and community members/partners. Ensures marketing and admissions plans are effective and participates in the sales process.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field from an accredited university Minimum 4 years of proven leadership experience in healthcare, human services, or social services, with at least 2 years in an Administrator/Executive Director capacity. Personal Care Home Administrator License, Nursing Home Administrator License, RN, or LPN. Active Driver's License in good standing.
Skills and Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of the business of providing long-term personal care and legal requirements. Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and team development abilities. Exceptional proactive time management and organizational skills. Able to manage emergency situations calmly and competently. Technologically proficient, especially in Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Sound judgement and a strong ethical foundation in decision-making. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
