Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assisted Living Director to oversee the daily operations of our assisted living community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care and memory care, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to resident rights. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while maintaining a supportive and engaging environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the quality of care and services provided to residents. Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high standards of care. Foster a culture of respect for resident rights, promoting dignity and independence among all residents. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents. Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team. Engage with residents, families, and staff to create a welcoming community atmosphere. Monitor facility operations, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Qualifications Qualified Assisted Living Director through The Minnesota Board of Executives for Long Term Services and Supports (BELTSS) MN Driver's license Must be able to lift 10lbs+, Stand, Sit, or Walk for long Periods Must be able to pass a criminal and/or abuse background check Proven experience in long-term care or memory care settings, with a strong understanding of operations management. Previous experience in a leadership role within a group home or assisted living environment is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights regulations and best practices in home community care. Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage financial resources effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering an inclusive work environment.
