We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Dietary Director to lead our assisted living and memory care dining services. Manage food service teams by recruiting, training, supervising, and motivating staff to deliver outstanding service while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies. Oversee all food production activities, ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and according to prescribed nutritional guidelines and food safety standards. Monitor dietary department budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability without compromising quality. Conduct regular patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and adjust care plans accordingly; collaborate with healthcare providers for diagnostic evaluations or acute care needs. Ensure strict adherence to food service health code compliance, including proper handling of food safety management practices and EMR/EHR documentation for resident nutrition records. Lead efforts in health coaching by educating residents on nutrition best practices and supporting overall wellness initiatives within the community. Skills Proven experience in assisted living or senior care dietary management with a strong understanding of physiology and clinical nutrition principles. Demonstrated ability in managing food service teams, supervising staff, and leading department operations efficiently. Extensive knowledge of health regulation policies related to food safety, EHR/EHR management systems, and compliance standards for healthcare environments. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including nutritional screening, tube feeding management, and diagnostic evaluation interpretation. Strong leadership capabilities with experience in budgeting, managing food production processes, and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills for team management, resident interaction, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Familiarity with acute care settings and experience managing food service health code compliance within regulated environments.
