We're seeking a Director of Residential Services who is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and vibrant living environment for our residents. St. Joseph Village not only cares for their residents, but also the employees.
Working hours:
8-5 Monday- Friday and MOD Saturday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred Assisted Living Certification preferred Valid Texas Driver's License Minimum 2 years experience in senior housing industry Minimum 2 years experience demonstrated supervisory and managerial skills Compassion and understanding of the progressive nature of Alzheimer's dementia Leadership ability and excellent communication skills Knowledge of housing regulations Ability to organize work flow , respond to emergencies and note detail Ability to maintain a positive, stable disposition in performing work in association with staff and residents Ability to maintain a high level of performance in an environment of frequent demands and changes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults and handicapped people Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements as outlined below Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and proceduresWORK ENVIRONMENT
CCRC, primarily indoor with occasional off site emergency responsesWORK PACE
Self-paced, requiring the ability to work quickly and accurately in an often times fast paced, demanding work area, available by cell phone at all timesESSENTIAL DUTIES
Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards Maintain good attendance record Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff Responsible for day to day supervision and performance of staff Ensures all assisted living regulations are followed Reviews policies and procedures as needed and with changes in regulations Maintain and exceed budgeted census goals Manage department budget and meet/exceed financial goals Notify Executive Director of incident reports concerning abuse Thoroughly investigate any complaints and concerns and report to Executive Director Attend all assigned committee meetings according to Executive Director i.e. Level of Living. Responsible for the oversight of the provision of services that promotes health and well-being of the residents- At SJV our Activity Manager oversees this area.
- Facilities Mgr/Operations Mgr and Ex. Director have overseen this at our community. Ensure HIPAA Policies and Procedures are being followed Participate in monthly Resident Council meetings and work with Executive Director regarding Resident Council follow up action items. Ops Mgr did this in the past with Ex. Dir
- I'm happy to assist with this, I have not been invited to attend. Coordinate and facilitate quarterly Family Council meetings N/A
- we don't have family Council. Maintain and foster positive relationships with residents and their family members in all areas of jurisdiction Other duties as assigned by Executive Director. Provide Notary Services to residents, families and teammates Evynn
- Bus. Office Mgr is going to do this. Greet and welcome new residents including orientation of facility and services such as transportation, dining, work orders, visitor's protocol, etc. Maintain master key boxes including duplications and distribution logs

- I suggest removing this or change to: Follow-up with Family when residents are transferred to hospital.
SPECTRUM.
Maintain and update IL Resident Guide Book. Assist with Resident Closing meetings. Maintain/Update Resident Directories and Birthday Lists Run background checks for volunteers and prospective residents. Other duties as assigned by Executive DirectorPHYSICAL DEMANDS
