Job Description

Our House Assisted Living is looking for a fun, creative, hard working individual to join our fun team as our Activity Director! Putting smiles on our resident's faces should be the #1 goal! This is a full-time position, however, the days and hours may vary from time to time.
Responsibilities:
Planning and executing life enrichment activities for our memory care residents Encouraging residents to participate in group activities Spending time with residents one on one to optimize their full potential for independent living Produce a monthly resident activity calendar Coordinate and work with community members, volunteers, families, schools, and home health organizations to provide fun and diverse activities for our residents Conducting or overseeing the scheduled activities and ensuring they have all supplies needed for each activity Tracking attendance of residents at activities Training caregiving staff to assist with scheduled activities Purchase food and supplies for activities while sticking within the designated budget for the building Maintaining a scrapbook and Facebook page of new and happening activities
Requirements:
Possessing the ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with families, residents, the community, administration, and outside services is crucial Experience working with seniors Be a self-starter Possess a love for the elderly Be creative in their planning and executing of activities Have a positive and compassionate attitude Clean driving record - must be comfortable driving the community bus Perform all duties given them as assigned by the Administrator Experience with dementia is preferred but not required A Background Check, Food Handlers Permit, TB Test, and CPR certification are required upon hire.
