Job Description
The Teresa B. Caine School of Nursing at High Point University seeks a full-time faculty member for our Adult Health (Medical-Surgical)Nursing courses. The ideal candidate will bring strong teaching and clinical expertise to support student success initiatives across thepre-licensure BSN curriculum. This position requires flexibility for evening and weekend teaching and clinical supervision as needed, alongwith participation in university service activities. The faculty member will teach Adult Health (Medical-Surgical) Nursing coursesalong with foundational nursing support courses including health assessment, pharmacology, and other core curriculum components under theDean's guidance. Key responsibilities include direct clinical practicum supervision, clinical skills laboratory instruction,simulation-based learning facilitation, classroom teaching, and development of course assessments aligned with Next Generation NCLEX-RNstandards. Additional duties encompass participation in service activities, student recruitment, academic advising, and mentorship ofcurrent and prospective students. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional teaching capabilities and substantial clinical backgroundin medical-surgical nursing, with commitment to innovative nursing education and student success.
