Job Title Adjunct Instructor of Nurse Aide I Job Description This is a part-time instructor position teaching Nurse Aide I and other related courses. Full Time or Part Time Part Time Essential Duties Summary Job duties will include: Prepares course materials; uses appropriate teaching techniques including delivering lectures, leading discussions, and conducting laboratory demonstrations; and performs other activities, which are related to and meet the requirements of the courses. Conducts evaluations of student performance and assigns grades on the basis of such evaluations. Maintains records of student attendance and grades according to college policy and procedure. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to meet course objectives. Required Qualifications 1. Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license. 2. Licensed to practice nursing in North Carolina. 3. Has at least two (2) years (4000 hours) of experience as a Registered Nurse in the United States. 4. Meets at least one (1) of the following: completion of a course in teaching adults; or experience in teaching adults; or experience in supervising nurse aides. Preferred Qualifications Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes. Experience in a community college setting. Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems. Physical Demands Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office or classroom setting with appropriate climate controls.
