As a Practical Nursing Instructor, you will provide comprehensive instruction to nursing students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. You'll report directly to the Director of Nursing while upholding our high standards of educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction following established curriculum Implement and develop course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods Maintain detailed lesson plans and provide timely feedback on student assignments Monitor student attendance, performance, and retention Provide academic support during scheduled office hours Advise students on academic policies and performance improvement Participate in curriculum development and equipment/supply management Maintain professional expertise through continuing education Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned For online instruction: Monitor courses daily, respond to student inquiries, and grade work within 48 hours Perform other responsibilities and duties as neededQualifications:
BSN degree with current, valid, and unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse license Must have five years' experience as a Registered Nurse Current CPR Basic Life Support certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong relationship-building abilities with students and faculty Exceptional time management and attention to detail Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Passion for mentoring, training, and student development Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality Commitment to student success and workforce readiness- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), database software, Google docs, and use of internet
- Must be punctual, responsible, organized, ethical and a team player.
- Excellent multi-tasking and communication (written and verbal) skills is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be professional and maintain confidentiality of employee information and campus records.
- Must be flexible to work earlier or later shifts or weekends as needed.
