JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high-quality nursing education that complies with the Ohio Board of Nursing curriculum standards through classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching. Faculty support student learning, evaluate student progress, and ensure all instructional activities meet program objectives and regulatory requirements. They also help students prepare for the
NCLEX-PN
licensure exam.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS A
bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school is required. At least two years (24 months) of nursing experience as a registered nurse; must hold a current, unrestricted license in Ohio as a registered nurse and Basic Life Support certification. At least five years of experience in the nursing profession, including a minimum of two years as a faculty member in an associate degree or baccalaureate nursing program, is preferred. Eligible to obtain an Ohio Department of Education/Adult Education Permit. Current "Train-the Trainer" certificate or ability to immediately obtain. Knowledge of LPN practices and ability to teach Teaching experience preferred. Computer skills FBI/BCI background clearance TB clearance Proficient oral and written skills
