Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nurse Instructor Riverside College of Health Sciences - 3.6 Newport News, VA Job Details Part-time $35.00 - $48.50 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Nursing RN License Nursing Full Job Description Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $35.00 - $48.50/Hourly Actual pay is determined by program, and business needs Overview The Adjunct Instructor (AI) is responsible for clinical and laboratory supervision and the evaluation of students for the delivery of both residential and distance education courses. The AI is accountable for student outcomes and acts as a resource for students providing support, remediation, and referral as needed. The AI maintains professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing. Participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and Riverside College of RCHC. Essential functions are fundamental job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the position. For all College Instructor and Staff positions, standards are intended to apply to all educational delivery methods residential, blended and/or distance as feasible. (Contract positions are scheduled semester-by-semester and paid hourly according to the team member's earned educational degree BSN or MSN). What you will do Complete required instructional scholarly activity & professional development to include 2 activities related to Distance Education, 2 activities in the instructor's professional discipline, 2 activities directly related to teaching, and 1 activity related to instructional simulation (simulation requirement not applicable to RN-to-BSN faculty) Perform duties in the support of learning, including instructional design, delivery (both residential and distance delivery methods), assessment, course & student management, and academic advising. Maintain accountability for program, student, and graduate outcomes for course pass rates Qualifications Education Masters Degree, Nursing (Required) or Doctoral Degree, Nursing (Required) Experience 3-4 years Clinical experience in nursing (Required) Licenses and Certifications CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) and Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Registered Nurse (Required) Other Requirements Weekend Shifts Work/Float in more than one work location To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers.
