Our Fortis College in Norfolk is currently seeking candidates to join our Nursing Faculty and become an integral part of training the next generation of Nurses. Position:
Work effectively as part of the overall faculty team, demonstrating positive relations and collaboration. Participates in program evaluations activities. Maintains academic standards and course expectations. Provides feedback to students and communicates with the Dean. Utilizes course material effectively and demonstrates thorough knowledge of content. Utilizes multiple teaching methods and techniques. Provides clinical instruction.
Requirements:
At least 3 years in practice as a registered nurse. Bachelor degree in nursing required to teach in the Practical Nursing program Master degree in nursing required to teach in the Associate Degree Program. A current active unencumbered license in VA. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Functional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching responsibilities.
