09 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Relocation assistance Tuition reimbursement Referral program Qualifications RN License BLS Certification Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our ICU Charge Nurse at CHI St. Vincent North, you'll monitor patients who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease. You'll begin each shift by taking report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You'll provide continued care and perform procedures as detailed in the care plan. This could mean assisting a physician with a chest tube or central line, providing wound care, ensuring patients MRI or CT, or administering medications. To thrive in this role, you'll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You'll clinically care for your patients
  • remaining focused and attentive as you continuously monitor your patients throughout your shift. You also serve as their advocate
  • supporting their best interests when they cannot. However, it's your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response are impressive which puts you on the radar for advancement. Ability to serve as leader and teammate Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients High level of engagement with the floor
  • visibly connecting with nurses, patients, and families Attend meetings with leadership to learn about new initiatives, areas for improvement, etc.

Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.
Job Requirements Required Registered Nurse:
AR, upon hire and Basic Life Support
  • CPR, within 30 Days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days Preferred Bachelors Of Nursing Admission to a BSN program within one year , 12
  • months or Bachelors Of Nursing obtainment of a Bachelor degree within 2 years of assuming position Nursing, 24
  • months and Participation in Nursing Career Advancement Program and 2 years recent Nursing experience in area of specialty and 1 yearcharge/management experience Where You'll Work CHI St.
