In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care while providing leadership, guidance, and education to our nursing staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about both patient outcomes and the professional development of others. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Nurse Supervisor in a healthcare setting. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate strong leadership skills and have the ability to effectively train, mentor, and educate staff. Job Duties Provide direct supervision of associates and direct their daily workflow. Provide immediate clinical support and guidance during medical emergencies. Ensure that all health care regulations and safety standards are adhered during each shift. Plan and execute regular in-service training sessions on clinical skills, new technologies, and updates in health care protocols. Act as a mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster professional growth and competence. Encourage evidence-based practices and continuous learning among the nursing team. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care, incidents, and staff performance issues. Conduct periodic performance evaluations of nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and setting goals. Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures within the nursing department. Represent the nursing team in management meetings, contributing insights from the evening shift operations. Tracking training hours for individual associates to guarantee compliance with all state and federal requirements for licensed staff and CNA's. Develop, deliver, and promote annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regulations and company policy. Maintains nursing department education and training files. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing. Assist with direct resident care as needed. Assigned to a Medication Cart when needed. Act as an advocate for the residents when indicated. Complete any documentation and charting nightly for residents.
Knowledge / Skills
/ Abilities Knowledge of proper Infection Control Procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Leadership skills. Physical stamina and ability to perform duties such as lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility. Ability to supervisor and to handle unpredictable situations in a professional manner. Ability to make independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work, supervise, collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge on how to care for individuals with behavioral challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Employment Requirements Must possess an active, unencumbered, Arizona Registered Nurse License Hands on CPR/AED certification for Healthcare Professionals. Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (we will help you apply if needed) Current 2-step TB test (available on-site, if needed) Able to read, write, and speak English. 1 year experience as a Nurse Supervisor, Unit Manager, or Charge Nurse for a Health Care facility is preferred.
