$89,000-$110,000 per year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care aligned with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to promote safety, efficiency, and compliance with HIPAA, long-term care regulations, and other healthcare laws. Coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts to facilitate seamless patient assessments, discharge planning, and care management across medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency medicine, behavioral health, geriatrics, and specialty areas such as dialysis or neonatal care. Oversee medical documentation accuracy using EMR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth; ensure proper

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding for billing and reporting purposes. Conduct regular patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and specialized procedures such as catheterization or tube feeding while maintaining aseptic technique. Manage staffing schedules, oversee nurse management activities including charge experience and intake processes to optimize resource utilization. Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations and hospital policies; lead quality improvement initiatives related to infection control, medication administration, pain management, and medical records management. Facilitate ongoing staff education on topics such as IV infusion techniques, ventilator management, airway management, sterile processing, and emergency response protocols like Basic Life Support (BLS). Promote a culture of safety by monitoring patient care standards related to critical & intensive care units (ICU), trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatric units including PICU or neonatal ventilator care. Support team development through supervising experience in managing care facility teams while fostering effective communication using managerial communication skills. Experience Proven nurse management experience with demonstrated leadership in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities or home care settings. Extensive clinical background in critical care areas such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; experience working with complex cases involving trauma or acute pain management is highly desirable. Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation including ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is essential. Hands-on experience with patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration (including IV insertion), catheter care, specimen collection/processing and use of medical imaging tools. Knowledge of healthcare regulations governing long-term care facilities and understanding of managed care concepts such as utilization review & management. Background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; experience in dementia or memory care enhances your ability to serve diverse populations effectively. Familiarity with specialty procedures like cardiac catheterization or spinal tap; experience managing patients requiring ventilator support or gastrostomy tubes is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards; excellent communication skills are crucial for effective team supervision and patient advocacy.
