Responsibilities Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum The Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum is responsible for the clinical, operational, and administrative leadership of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum/Mother-Baby units. This position provides oversight of nursing practice, patient safety, quality outcomes, staffing, employee development, patient experience, and daily departmental operations. The Nurse Manager serves as a visible and engaged leader who promotes a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and patient- and family-centered care. Working closely with nursing leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary partners, the Nurse Manager ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality care throughout the maternal and newborn continuum. Job Duties/Responsibilities Provides overall clinical and operational leadership for the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum/Mother-Baby units, maintaining accountability for safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. Leads and develops nursing staff through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, professional development, and employee engagement while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Oversees daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, productivity, patient flow, departmental resources, and budget management to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care. Monitors quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and patient experience outcomes, leading performance-improvement initiatives and maintaining readiness for regulatory and accreditation requirements. Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based maternal and newborn care, strengthen clinical practices, and support organizational goals.

Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional nursing experience required. Significant clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum/Mother-Baby, Women's Services, or Maternal-Child Health required. Previous nursing leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or comparable leadership position required. Experience managing staffing, quality outcomes, employee performance, patient experience, and departmental operations preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. Specialty certification in Obstetric Nursing, Maternal-Newborn Nursing, Nursing Leadership, or a related specialty is strongly preferred.
