- Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Operating Room team.
- Join a highly skilled perioperative team dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care through clinical excellence, collaboration, innovation, and compassionate service.
Saint Francis Hospital provides a wide range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Robotics, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, Gastroenterology, Vascular, and other complex surgical procedures. The Nurse Manager is a professional registered nurse responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the daily operations of the Operating Room. This leader ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and Trinity Health values. The Nurse Manager fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, professional development, and continuous improvement while supporting operational efficiency and exceptional patient outcomes.
- Responsibilities
- + Provides leadership and oversight for the daily clinical and operational activities of the Operating Room.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards, including Joint Commission requirements.
+ Promotes a culture of quality, patient safety, and service excellence.
+ Oversees staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization to ensure efficient department operations and appropriate patient care coverage.
+ Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, sterile processing, and ancillary departments to optimize patient flow and surgical outcomes.
+ Monitors clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
+ Supports recruitment, onboarding, retention, coaching, and performance management of perioperative staff.
+ Facilitates communication through leadership meetings, staff meetings, educational programs, and department-wide initiatives.
+ Maintains 24-hour accountability for Operating Room services in collaboration with Surgical Services leadership.
- Minimum Qualifications
- + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
+ Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware or eligibility for Delaware licensure.
+ BLS certification required.
+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive Operating Room nursing experience required.
+ Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in perioperative services required.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative nursing practice, regulatory standards, quality improvement, and performance management.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. + CNOR certification preferred.

49 - $78.29/hour (base salary equivalent)
- _Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location_ .
