Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Night Shift Nurse Supervisor to oversee clinical operations during the overnight hours (10:30 PM-7:00 AM) at our skilled nursing facility in Longwood Florida. The Nurse Supervisor serves as the clinical leader on duty, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise nursing staff during the overnight shift, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Ensure safe, effective, and resident-centered care in accordance with facility policies and Florida regulations Act as the on-site clinical decision-maker and respond to changes in resident condition Conduct rounds, monitor documentation, and ensure completion of required assessments Manage admissions, discharges, and emergency situations during the shift Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and AHCA requirements Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and on-call leadership as needed Provide staff guidance, coaching, and support to promote quality care and teamwork
Qualifications:
Active Florida RN or LPN license (RN preferred) Minimum of 1-2 years of skilled nursing or long-term care experience required Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and decision-making skills Knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations and long-term care standards Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities overnight
Physical & Other Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies throughout the shift Must pass background screening and meet Florida Level 2 requirements CPR certification required
