Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated RN Weekend Supervisor to lead our nursing team during weekend shifts. The RN Weekend Supervisor will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee patient assessments, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice across various care settings. Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring optimal patient care delivery across medical-surgical, geriatrics, behavioral health, and long-term care units Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV infusion management, and catheter care while ensuring adherence to protocols such as HIPAA and infection control standards Manage clinical workflows utilizing EMR Lead incident investigations, report writing, and incident documentation while ensuring compliance with AHCA standards and other regulatory requirements Provide mentorship and supervision to nursing staff; facilitate team management activities such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and training on new protocols or equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, utilization review, case management, and working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care needs Requirements Valid RN license with current state registration Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within long-term care settings Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology for medication administration including injections and tube feeding techniques Strong assessment skills with the ability to perform physical exams and diagnostic evaluations accurately Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), additional certifications in dementia or behavioral health are a plus Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate patient care activities across multiple departments
