Unit Manager - RN/LPN

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
provides person-centered nursing care and treatment to elderly, acutely ill, or injured residents. They will be expected to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the individual needs of residents and families while assisting the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Graduate of accredited Rn/LPN School of Nursing. Current valid RN/LPN license in the state employed. Valid CPR certification. Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provides direct care and/or assists with care as directed and consistent with their scope of practice and competency. Makes rounds with physicians and other team members as needed. Manages medication passing and assists with care planning as needed. Also monitors completeness and accuracy of own clinical medical record entries and those of assigned RN and Nurse Aides daily. Reviews, transcribes, communicates and implements physician orders, obtaining RN signature as required by state regulations or company policy. Communicates with resident's physician. Documents care performed and observations of resident status in the clinical record promptly by utilizing standard clinical documentation guidelines as required by the company, and local, state and federal rules and regulations. Completes clinical admission paperwork for new admissions and assists with the clinical discharge process. Apply online today!
