Trusted Health seeks a Travel Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical-Orthopedic unit. In this contract role, you'll deliver evidence-based med-surg and orthopedic care, manage pre- and post-op patients, monitor surgical sites, administer medications, and coordinate discharges. You'll collaborate with physicians, PT/OT, and case management to optimize mobility, pain control, and recovery outcomes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients Manage pre- and post-operative orthopedic care, including neurovascular checks and wound assessment Administer medications and treatments, following safety and infection control protocols Monitor vital signs, pain levels, mobility status, and surgical sites, documenting accurately in the EHRCollaborate with physicians, PT/OT, and interdisciplinary team on care plans and discharge planning Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, mobility precautions, and home care Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention strategies to promote safe recovery Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care promptly Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal nursing standards Adapt quickly to new hospital environments and workflows as a travel nurse Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing Orthopedic postoperative care Pain assessment and management Wound and dressing management Telemetry and vital sign monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Patient and family education Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Care coordination and discharge planning Infection prevention and control
