JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the activities and work efforts of Nursing Professional Development employees. May need to function as staff. Is actively engaged and models the skills and behaviors of the 9 Studer Principles leading to an outcome of organizational excellence. Supervises activities consistent with department goals. Reports to the Manager of Education. Is an active advocate of Blessing Health System in the community. This position assures compliance with established schedules, protocols, policies, procedures and regulatory standards. Assumes delegated responsibilities for selection, scheduling, supervision and evaluation of employees including disciplinary action, conflict resolution, and recommendations for termination. Is required to maintain skill level of subordinates in order to assume duties when necessary. Makes decisions consistent with organizational/department budgets. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED
Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills RN with relevant experience in nursing practice. BSN. A minimum 3 years experience in leadership/supervisory role.
PREFERRED
Masters Degree License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Possesses current Illinois RN license. Maintain current
