Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and oversee nursing operations within our care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will coordinate nursing staff activities, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote a safe, efficient environment dedicated to the well-being of residents. Responsibilities Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure delivery of comprehensive patient care aligned with facility standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee patient assessments, medical documentation, and care planning to maintain high-quality clinical outcomes. Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and long-term care regulations. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, medication administration, and specialized treatments such as IV infusion and catheterization. Monitor clinical operations including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical records management using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to nursing staff in areas such as infection control, sterile processing, and emergency procedures including airway management and ventilator use. Lead quality assurance initiatives through utilization review, case management, and adherence to NCQA standards for patient safety and care excellence. Requirements Valid RN license with current state registration; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred. Demonstrated experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; hospital medicine experience highly valued. Proven supervisory experience managing nursing teams within long-term care or assisted living settings. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and healthcare documentation standards. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical records management is essential. Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations governing nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous; knowledge of dementia care or memory care preferred. Excellent leadership skills combined with effective communication abilities to foster a collaborative team environment focused on patient-centered care.
