Job Description
HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support patient-centered care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee daily clinical nursing operations, ensuring safe, high-quality care and adherence to evidence-based practices. You will mentor and support nursing staff, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and help manage staffing, throughput, and patient flow. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee clinical nursing care on assigned unit Supervise and mentor RNs and support staff to ensure quality standards Support patient assessments, care planning, and care transitions Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes Assist with staffing, scheduling, and allocation of nursing resources Support onboarding, training, and development of nursing staff Monitor quality metrics and participate in performance improvement initiatives Serve as a clinical resource and escalate critical issues as needed Promote HCA Healthcare's culture of compassion, teamwork, and learning Required Skills Clinical nursing practice (acute care) Patient assessment and care planning Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Medication administration and safety Care coordination and discharge planning Staff supervision and precepting Quality improvement and patient safety Infection prevention and control Telemetry/vital sign monitoring Regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS)
