  • 66/hr Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and documentation standards. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will oversee nursing staff, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and promote high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. This role offers an opportunity to influence patient outcomes positively while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Responsibilities Supervise and manage nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team functioning. Oversee patient assessments, ensuring accurate documentation of vital signs, medical history, and physiological data using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Coordinate care delivery across multiple units including critical care, medical-surgical, geriatrics, behavioral health, and long-term care facilities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state healthcare laws, long-term care regulations, and hospital policies related to patient privacy and safety. Facilitate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Administer medications, IV infusions, catheterizations, tube feedings, and perform sterile procedures following aseptic techniques. Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations while maintaining high standards of infection control and medical documentation accuracy. Lead quality improvement initiatives by monitoring clinical performance metrics such as DRG coding accuracy, CPT coding compliance, and nursing policy adherence. Skills Extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Strong clinical background in critical care environments including ICU, Level I & II Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or emergency medicine settings. Demonstrated leadership in supervising multidisciplinary teams within hospital medicine or long-term care facilities. Proficiency in performing advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, ventilator management, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and catheter care. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology principles, ICD-9/10 coding standards for diagnostic evaluation and billing purposes. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and state-specific healthcare laws governing nursing practice. Ability to manage complex patient cases involving dementia care (Alzheimer's & memory care), behavioral health issues, pediatric (neonatal ventilator) or neonatal care needs. Excellent managerial communication skills for team management, conflict resolution, and staff development in fast-paced environments.
