We are seeking a proactive, hands-on RN Nursing Supervisor to direct daily floor operations, supervise clinical staff, and ensure exceptional resident care. In this leadership role, you will guide cart nurses and CNAs, support admissions, manage clinical incident responses, and step in with direct resident care whenever needed.
Key Responsibilities Floor Leadership:
Supervise cart nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), balance patient assignments, and ensure smooth operational flow across shifts.
Admissions & Direct Care:
Coordinate incoming resident admissions and assist floor nurses with hands-on care routines as needed.
Incident Management & Quality:
Direct incident reporting, track shift quality metrics, and enforce compliance with state, federal, and facility safety regulations.
Staff Development:
Mentor, train, and evaluate floor staff to maintain clinical excellence and foster career growth.
Physician & Family Liaison:
Serve as a primary communicator for attending doctors, residents, and families regarding care plans and clinical updates.
Clinical Records:
Maintain accurate resident charts, supervisory logs, and nursing documentation.
Qualifications Licensure:
Active, unencumbered Mississippi RN License (or valid Compact Multi-State License).
Experience:
Proven Registered Nurse experience; charge nurse or nursing supervisory background in skilled nursing/LTC preferred.
Clinical Knowledge:
Strong background in long-term care workflows, geriatric care standards, and regulatory compliance.
Leadership Traits:
Proven problem-solving ability, crisis de-escalation skills, and clear interpersonal communication.
